Our Philosophy

Our philosophy at Ithaka is one rooted in love for our neighbor and thoughtful care for those we serve in a mutually enriching relationship.  There is something very pragmatic about this relationship.  Things break in our homes and work and we need them fixed.  You call me and I fix, repair, or install it.  I get paid so I can make a living, and you can move on with your life and make your living.  We part ways and both parties are happy.  True and good.  But there is more to life than this and we know it.

There is community and a sense of belonging we are all longing for. We like knowing people we live and work beside, people we can trust in our homes and help us when we need it. We want friends, family, laughter, meaningful work, and simple goodness of life. We want peace in our homes, not just relationally with our families, but in our physical spaces. We want to see them ordered, working properly, and beautiful.

Broken or ugly things where we live, work, study, and play brings stress, anxiety, and burdens that make life that much more difficult.  A leaking faucet or that hole in the drywall is not simply something that needs to be fixed.  It is a problem that interrupts one’s peace and will drive you crazy if it does not get taken care of!

At Ithaka, our desire is to partner with you in an enriching relationship built on trust.  By doing so, we help you by alleviating the stress, anxiety, and burdens that come with your physical spaces.  Our homes, rentals, and work spaces are our greatest assets in life.  Call Ithaka today and begin a relationship for a lifetime with someone you can trust.
